Drawing from his experiences of survival in the Amazon jungle, Yossi understands that imaginary survival can be far more dangerous than real survival. Real Survival means immediate and palpable danger to dear life. Such circumstances are rare, yet when they occur to our surprise we rise and meet them naturally. In fact, real survival equals peak performance. Imaginary Survival is far more prevalent and dangerous than Real Survival and can be the cause of most of our diseases and distress. As we grew apart from natural life the cue that activates our survival stopped coming from our senses and was replaced by our mind. It is our mind, not our senses that activate our survival mode and our mind always perceive that we are in real danger while in fact, we are only facing the challenges and problems of our busy lives.
