“Absolutely breathtaking” comes to mind when renowned international dance artists Gavin Skinner and Lydia Lim hit the stage. In partnership for over ten years, this celebrated Australian duo, known as Soul Mystique is the only act in the world performing the two amazing art forms of dreamlike dance sport with the ancient art of magical costume transformations.

TV: Stunning performances by Soul Mystique have captivated and amazed audiences across the globe, with appearances on CNN and NBC in the United States, and CNBC in India. Soul Mystique have graced stages of all kinds, from the most renowned theatres around the world to ocean liners travelling vast oceans. Soul Mystique made their first Australian television appearance in 2006 at the live NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards, before appearing on the international hit reality TV show Australia’s Got Talent, dazzling viewers around the nation and winning the episode, earning them a place in the Grand Finals.
Accolades: The outstanding talents of Soul Mystique have earned numerous accolades including being named as “the Jewel and Crown of Australian Dancesport”. They dazzled audiences on the televised broadcast of the 2007 Australian DanceSport Championships and followed this up by astonishing the audiences at the 2008 IDSF World Latin Championships. The popularity and acclaim of Soul Mystique continued to grow through 2008, with their being head hunted by Heinz to appear in their ‘transformation’ advertisements. In 2011 they were nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the Australian Event Awards.
Showrooms: Soul Mystique has also graced the stages of some of the world’s most glamorous showrooms from Las Vegas to London’s West End.

I am writing to highly recommend Soul Mystique as an act for any event, any night, and any occasion. They will steal the night. Soul Mystique performed on Channel 9’s nationally televised NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards on December 9, 2006 and was the one act everyone talked about. Gavin & Lydia were extremely professional, understanding of our production requirements, flexible and friendly to all involved. If you’re looking for something different, trying to make an impact, or just want your night or event to be something special then these guys are perfect for you. I cannot recommend them enough - they are fantastic!
I had to admit that when they began their performance, I had no idea what to expect. The first quick change was a novelty but the wonderment mounted as the changes progressed and I began to be intrigued how they were stashing the outfits away. I was not able to detect the illusions even from the second row. There are very few things you remember in your lifetime… What I saw last night was one thing I will never ever forget in my life.

Soul Mystique’s performance was absolutely spectacular. The speed and precision of costume changes leaving everyone amazed. Soul Mystique left a lasting impression on all the delegates and helped to make our masquerade ball a huge success.
Our Gala audience is used to the night starting with something unusual and exciting but let's just say that this year they were awestruck! 550 pairs of eyes sat glued to Soul Mystiques performance and 550 brains spun with the possiblity... how on earth did they do it all so fast? Their dynamic dancing coupled with an ability to change costumes so fast that every man in the room wished his wife could learn the art, started off our night with an absolute high. Soul Mystique worked beautifully - just the way I had hoped. The feedback received on site about their performance could not have been better. Guests were stunned at Gavin and Lydia's quick change act and all sorts of 'conspiracy theories' were heard around the ballroom after their outstanding performance at the Gala Dinner. How they do it remains a mystery! What a pleasure to deal with artists such as Gavin and Lydia. They were professional, accommodating, down to earth, top performers and lovely people. I can't wait to have another opportunity to book them.
