Described in 1984 as the ‘World’s Greatest Living Explorer’ by the Guinness Book of Records and named in the ‘Top 100 living geniuses’ in 2007 by The Daily Telegraph, Sir Ranulph Fiennes has been at the forefront of some of the greatest exploratory expeditions of the past century.
By drawing the analogy between nature’s most dangerous and difficult challenges, and the very real day-to-day business challenges in the 21st century, Sir Ranulph involves each individual in the audience on a very personal level.
Current experience:
Fiennes served in the British army for eight years including a period on counter-insurgency service while attached to the army of the Sultanate of Oman. He later undertook numerous expeditions and was the first person to visit both the north and south poles by surface means and the first to completely cross Antarctica on foot. In May 2009, at the age of 65, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest.
