A successful stand-up up comedian and TV writer and performer in Australia, Kitty Flanagan moved to the UK in 2001 to further her comedy career. Since returned from London where she became a regular on the UK comedy circuit including the prestigious London Comedy Store, she also managed to travel the world performing in festivals and comedy clubs from Paris to Berlin, Dubai to Tokyo, Canada to Cannes.
Achievements
Her first full length show to tour Australia – 2010/2011’s The Charming and Alarming Tour – was nominated for a Helpmann Award and enjoyed sellout seasons at every major festival around the country.

Television
Well known for sketch comedy as well as stand-up, Kitty has appeared in numerous successful TV shows both in Australia and the UK, most notably Full Frontal, The Micallef Show, Good News Week and Spicks and Specks.
In Britain she is best known for her work on The Sketch Show, The Comedy Store Live and The BBC Stand Up Show and in the United States for her work on Comedy Central, featuring in several series of The World Stands Up. She can currently be seen every Tuesday night on Network Ten’s The Project.
After years of having her writing directed by others, Kitty decided she needed to be the boss of everyone and set out to direct her own work, the short film Dating Ray Fenwick, recently adapted into a comedy series with a pilot commissioned by the BBC.
Apart from being able to adapt her act successfully to entertain a diverse range of corporate audiences from supermarket employees to advertising executives to members of the NSW police force, Kitty’s current corporate claim to fame is that the Governor General – Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC – is a fan.
