Steve Panozzo's newspaper career began in 1985 when he was appointed Artist-in-Residence at The Manly Daily in Sydney, after which followed an eighteen-month-long stint at Weekly Neighbourhood Newspapers and Community Newspapers in Perth.

In September 1987, Steve Panozzo joined News Limited appearing daily in The Australian and The Daily Telegraph for ten years. The bulk of Steve's printed work now spans a host of trade and specialty magazines. In 1999-2000, he was the daily cartoonist for the innovative farmers' website, Farmindex.

Steve Panozzo is highly regarded for his corporate presentation caricatures and his on-the-spot brilliance. His list of clients includes Channel Nine, Deutsche Bank, Pfizer, QBE, Lend Lease, ServCorp, the Australian Stock Exchange, Grant Thornton, Macquarie Bank, L.J. Hooker, OneSteel and AMP.

Steve Panozzo has enlivened major exhibitor events like the International Diabetes Federation Expo, Sydney on Sale, International Astronomy Union Conference 2003, The Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and even featured at Funeral Expo 97!

Steve Panozzo is often called upon to be the 'voice of Australian cartooning' to the media. He speaks regularly to business groups and associations on life as a cartoonist and the role cartoons play in communication. He presents cartooning workshops all over Australia and regularly participates in fund-raising activities for worthwhile charities.

Steve Panozzo's cartoons and caricatures have appeared in more than 30 books, and his work has been hung in over 35 exhibitions in Australia and overseas. Elton John has a Panozzo caricature hanging in his home in England.

Steve Panozzo served as President of The Australian Black and White Artists' Club in 1992-93 and again in 1998-99, and was made a Life Member in 1993. In 1994, Steve became only the third Australian cartoonist to be accepted into America's National Cartoonists' Society.
